Pride Is A Destiny Killer: Get Humility

One of the keys to living a fruitful and blessed life is maintaining a humble heart always. Humility in one sense can be viewed as a potent spiritual weapon which is also as powerful as faith, hope, love, praise, and so on.

A person who is worth a hundred million dollars but is full of pride is no better than a person who is worth five thousand dollars but full of humility. What I am trying to say here is; humility cannot be purchased, it can be actualized through continuous meditation on God's word, prayer and praise. Pride is an attribute of the enemy, and man must do all it takes to avoid it. Let me shed some light on how pride can destroy a person's destiny, even a glorious one; Imagine you have labored all the years of your life, and finally you become blessed by God, resulting in wealth. One very day, you become so self-centered and arrogant because of your riches. This act can crumble what you have labored for all your years. That is, you went from grass to grace, and then you go back from grace to grass.

A Proud fellow indirectly says that he or she does not need God's wisdom, and therefore feels the worldly wisdom he or she has is sufficient enough to carry through life. When you have God's wisdom then more than   likely you will exhibit humility. However, when you engage in the wisdom of the world, you are prone to the spirit of pride and arrogance.

If you look back and think of the highly successful people in life, that is; those who have had longevity, you will notice that most of them have some form of humility in their heart. God is the One who gives wealth, riches, position, fame, stardom, and so on. Why would you be proud, He can cease any benefit from you anytime if you do not humble yourself.

God is the author of humility, and He expects us all to be humble. You may have heard or read in the Bible that God created man in His own image. This means that God did not create man to be proud. In Genesis, Adam and Eve were created to be humble but after their fall, pride set in man. However, when man receives Jesus as Lord and Savior, carries out spiritual exercises, he becomes transformed. How Healthy Diet Affects Your Spiritual Life

Not in a million years would I have thought that the food that I eat affects not only my physical body but also my spiritual life. Many years ago, I noticed a few families only eat organic food. At that point in time I could not understand why people would spend so much money on organic food. As I began to dwell on the word of God, I realized that these families have spiritual insight that not everyone has; including Christians. I also learned by experience, that is; after eating junk food for so long, I realized that I was loosing my focus and concentration. As a result of this; I did not only get affected physically, mentally but also spiritually. What I mean is, during this trying period I had the measure of my faith to believe God drop down like a rock. This made me vulnerable to the attacks of the enemy. That is; my spiritual health was threatened.

As I went about seeking the kingdom, God opened my spiritual eyes which made me see the reason why I felt that way. He said, I need to start eating healthy on a daily basis. This is the reason God created various natural classes of food for man, such as; protein, carbohydrate, fats & oil, fruits & vegetables, and so on. Ever since I started to obey God in this regard, I have been enjoying great physical, mental and spiritual health. Vitamins and nutrients are very essential not only to a person's body but also to his or her spiritual life. You may feel that your mind, body and spirit are in excellent condition but you can always feel better by improving on your food diet. As a millionaire may increase his or her wealth, the same way a person can improve his or her physical, mental and spiritual health by eating a healthy diet daily.

There is a reason God said that; "Our bodies are the temple of God." That being said, we need to take very good care of our bodies and spirits. Let me quickly share with you how I overcame the challenge; I started to take multivitamins, eat healthy diet on a daily basis, and exercise periodically. If you are reading this article and feel that it does not apply to you; wrong! You can always improve on your physical, mental and spiritual health. How I was Inspired to Write

I am the author of two Christian nonfiction books titled: "Uncommon Truths Leading to Success: Maximizing These Benefits of Christianity in Your Life" and " Taking Your Life to the Next Level: 7 Keys to Living the God Kind of Life"

I just do not write books because I see other people write; such as friends, family, and other authors. I write books as I am led by God the Holy Spirit. One very evening, my father asked me to write my third book; guess what I told him? My response: I will write my third book when the Holy Spirit leads me.

Let me give you the breakdown of when and how I received my calling to be in the writing ministry; One glorious evening, sometime in July 2012, I was listening to a celebrity pastor's sermon on YouTube. The message lasted a little over one hour, after which I was led to ask the Holy Spirit to reveal my destiny to me. I then engaged in a one hour praise and worship; and as I did this, in about three hours I started to recieve downloads from heaven concerning my destiny. One of these was; I was called to be in the writing ministry. Many more things were revealed to me that were not easily believable with the natural mind.

I never knew I had a gift of writing until I encountered the events listed above. I was an athlete in high school; in fact, me being the fastest runner in my middle and high school; I thought my destiny would have something to do with running. Also, I had completed undergraduate and graduate school in business administration. Although, this training was helpful, it did not directly have anything to do with my destiny.  Moreover, as it is written; God's ways are not man's ways. This is a key reason I wrote about how to achieve your destiny in my book. If I had chosen my own career path in life without God's influence, I would have been a frustrated person. Parents should never impose any career path on their children except when sure it is from God. I will continue to write inspirational messages as I am led by God.

The Invaluable Power of Prayer

The power of prayer is a topic that should not be ignored in this end time. I am not talking about praying to other gods or idols: I am talking about saying Christian prayers to the God of Moses, Abraham, David and Jacob. All of God’s children must continually pray for strength. This can be done by simply saying, “Lord, I do not have any power of my own, lead me and give strength in all departments of my life.” You can also, continually confess or meditate on the scripture, which says; “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

Christian prayers are weapons that have been transferred from heaven to earth, that is; God has given men the gift of prayer. The way to have your prayers work for you is; you must be born again, free of unforgiveness, full of faith and free of sin. In the biblical era, Jesus demonstrated the power of prayer. He prayed constantly with authority and faith, which is why His prayers commanded miracles, signs, wonders, blessings and breakthroughs. Asking God for prayer for strength simply means you are humbling yourself and thereby making it known that God is the only omnipotent supernatural being.

Power of prayer is made evident when things in the Spiritual start to manifest in the natural.  A Christian can pray powerfully by asking the Holy Spirit to teach him what and how to pray. This will ensure that you are praying the perfect will of God, and thus; receive answered requests. You may be wondering when we speak casually, most times we do not see results but when we pray ( dialogue with God), we are able to see results. What I am saying here is; for example, if you need a new car, and you tell your wife or friend that you need a new car, this is just a casual talk and you may or may not receive the new car, however: When you tell God in faith that you need a new car, He will respond favorably. What is the difference between the two scenarios above, that is; casual talk with your wife and talk with God? The answer is; God has ordained prayer as a way of communicating with Him from the beginning of time.

When we say a prayer for strength, we must have it in mind that God is the only One who can take away all our weaknesses and replace with strengths. Christian prayers are invaluable in the sense that; they are the foundation for all other things in the Spiritual and the natural.  If the foundation of a house is not firm, it may collapse, same way; if a Christian’s prayer life is not solid, there will be weakness in his or her spirit.

Gifts of the Holy Spirit Can Transform a Man

The fruits of the Holy Spirit is one in which is mostly ignored in a Christians’ life. Some of these fruits are; faithfulness, love, patience, peace, joy, and so on. If all of these fruits have been given to all Christians; why do some still harbor hatred, impatience, trouble, sadness, and more? There may be a few reasons, namely; lack of knowledge of God’s word, battle with the enemy, and intermittent or no fellowship with God.

The gifts of the Holy Spirit could sometimes be confused for the fruits of the Holy Spirit. Although, interrelated, there are differences. The gifts of the Holy Spirit are; understanding, wisdom, reverence, counsel, fear of the Lord, wisdom and courage. A believer can have all these gifts by constantly engaging in Holy Spirit prayer. The Holy Spirit has used me in several ways to achieve excellence in academics, career and more. In my book, titled; Unleashing God’s Power: Maximize This Great Benefit of Christianity in Your Life, I highlighted many ways in which I was helped by the Holy Spirit to achieve success. I discussed how it happened, what I did to make it happen, and the results that came about.

Engaging in Holy Spirit prayer is very vital for Christians because when you do this, it is God the Holy Spirit in you who is praying to God the Father. This guarantees you answered prayers because you will be praying the perfect will of the Father.

One Wednesday morning, I was in a far country, where I attended early morning breakthrough prayer session. As I was on my way home, I stopped by my one of my Pastor friend’s house. I had been born again for a while but not baptized in the Holy Spirit. Guess what she asked me? “Would you like to be baptized in the Holy Spirit”? Immediately, I knew it was a divine arrangement; so I said yes, right away, and ever since then my life has been transformed. As I stand today, I can gladly tell you that I have all of the gifts of the Holy Spirit and the fruits of the Holy Spirit. However, note that these did not just happen overnight; it took several months or even years of continually engaging in Holy Spirit prayer.

One attribute I love about the Holy Spirit is that, He is always ready to help you, but most times you need to ask Him. He is also a very gentle Spirit; He does not force Himself on any man or woman, you have to invite Him. I shared some testimonies that I received through the Holy Spirit in my book. When you receive the gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit; you will be a transformed human being. One condition is; you have to be born again to receive and enjoy these benefits.
